Boys soccer earns an impressive 2-0 road win by defeating Delaware Hayes on a back to back night. The Rams suffered their first defeat the previous night by conceding two set piece goals to Grandview Heights. The Rams were battling a few injuries to key players who played through their minor injuries.  The Rams improve to 4 wins for the season and only 1 loss.

The Rams tonight were led by senior captain Jefferson Martinez who is also nursing a toe injury suffered at the football game the previous week by filling in and kicking for teammate Jesus Yanez. Junior Jesus Yanez was also instrumental on the attack for the Rams, by providing constant pressure on the oppositions defense, precise passing and good shooting. The first goal was initiated by senior Yared Yesuf, who won the ball for the Rams and found teammate Jose Alverado, who scored his first goal of the season. The second goal by the Rams was scored by senior Ebrima Jorbateh, who placed a penalty kick on the top 90 corner of the goal.

The defense for the Rams was stout tonight and held the Pacers  scoreless behind goalkeeper Edwin Gutierrez and seniors Jonathan Alvarez, Jonathan Guijosa and Miguel Godinez. In the midfield there were key contributions by Kirubel Amari, Danny Arriola, Daba Hordofe. Tonight the Rams showed toughness, character and perseverance by overcoming their injuries and fatigue from the previous night. The Rams next game is on Wednesday, against league foe Columbus Academy. Good Job Rams.
